The Sunshine Blogger Award

I was recently nominated by three different bloggers (maybe more?) for The Sunshine Blogger Award! I thought I’d go ahead and accept the award from all three bloggers, answering all of their questions. So this may end up being a pretty lengthy post!

Thank you Paige @ paige’s pagesSarah @ reviews & readathons, and Keky @ keky’s literary world for nominating me for this awesome award! Their blogs are really awesome, so you should stop by and check them out!

  • Thank the person who nominated you and link back to their blog
  • List the rules and display the Sunshine Blogger Award logo in your post or blog
  • Answer the eleven questions sent by the person who nominated you
  • Nominate eleven new blogs to receive the award and write them eleven new questions

To share my love of books with the world.

02What fortress from a fantasy book would you most want to be inside if you were under attack?

Not sure if Stephen King’s Under the Dome would be considered fantasy (I guess it’s sci-fi), but still… I think being under that huge glass dome if you’re under attack would probably be a pretty safe bet to survival.

If you could pick any artist – living or dead – to design all of your blog graphics, who would it be and why?

Oh, wow. Good question. Hm. Not really sure… maybe Pablo Picasso? I like his abstract stuffs.

What is one trait that you envy most in other people and why?

I try not to be envious, but if I had to choose, I would pick artistic ability. I would love to be able to draw and paint.

All the characters in The Darkest Minds. 🙂

If your house were on fire and you only had time to save one book, what would it be and why is it so special to you?

I’d save Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone because it was the first book I truly fell in love with.

What fellow book blogger inspires you the most and why?

There are so, so many bloggers that inspire me… I don’t think I could name just one. And I would feel bad for naming just a few without naming all the rest!

What is one small thing you can do today to surprise someone with kindness?

Give them a hug!

Can you name one story that you believe can be enjoyed universally?

I’m pretty sure everyone would love the story of Robin Hood. I do!

Disney Fantasia soundtrack! 😛

If you were an inter-dimensional tourist, what fictional place would you most like to visit for holiday?

Probably Red London in A Darker Shade of Magic.

Can you describe your fondest childhood reading experience?

When I was little, I had this huge book of children’s stories. Every night before bed my mom would let me choose whichever story I wanted and she would let me read it to her. I loved that.

033Why did you decide to start a blog?

I love books and wanted to share my love of books with others and interact with other book lovers like me!

I used to want to be a surgeon. But I’m working on becoming a teacher.

Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone

If you were to be a character from any novel, who would you be and why?

Hermione Granger because she has magic! Duh!

If you could move tomorrow to any place in the world, where would it be and why?

Somewhere with a beach because I love the beach and love hunting for shark teeth and pretty seashells.

Coffee or tea?

Coffee, definitely.

What is your favorite season and why?

Spring because it’s not too hot and it’s not too cold. It’s just right.

Fantasy. Because you can be anything you wanna be inside a fantasy book.
