Favorite Standalone Romances || Corrupt Me Blog Tour

For my last stop on the Corrupt Me Blog Tour, I’ll be presenting to you a special guest post from our fellow book blogger, now author, Jillian Quinn! If you haven’t checked out her new book, Corrupt Me, please do so ASAP! Today, Jill will be telling us all about her Favorite Standalone Romance Recommendations. Let’s see what amazing romance novel recommendations she has for us!

Favorite Standalone Romance Recommendations

As a romance author, I also read my fair share of books in the genre and one book in particular lured me in. Beautiful Disaster by Jamie McGuire was such an engaging story that it hooked me from the first sentence. I have since read all of the books in both the Beautiful Series and Maddox Brothers Series. Jamie’s writing is fantastic, and the characters she creates are all memorable.

Colleen Hoover is hands-down one of my favorite authors. She could write a book about her grocery list and what she does when she’s at home, and I would still want to buy it. Her latest novel, It Ends With Us, has such a powerful message that I read it in a few hours and was left speechless and heartbroken by the end. I can still remember that ending months later, and it’s the kind of book that feels like you’ve been punched in the stomach, yet beautiful at the same time. I have read all of Colleen’s books, and It Ends With Us is the best one to date.

Smut by Karina Halle is probably the best romantic comedy I have ever read. You take a stuck up writer and booknerd and throw a funny, sexy British guy into the mix and you have a very explosive combination. I love the sex jokes about Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, and the Marvel Universe. My face literally hurt from laughing and smiling so much. Anyone who has read this book will tell you it’s Five Alarm Fire Hot! If you like steamy sex scenes and banter that will make you laugh, you must read this book.

Another awesome author that everyone needs to check out is Juliana Conners. She writes swoon-worthy alpha males and super hot and steamy sex scenes that will make you melt. Her latest book, Yes, Boss, is a hot office romance novel that I absolutely love. I am even recommending her book in my next author newsletter.

For the latest book recommendations and free ebooks, I recommend signing up for my Bad Boy Mafia Newsletter where I share the latest deals, free books, recommendations, and news about my books. http://eepurl.com/cuJkOr

These are just a few of my favorite romance novels. I have so many that it was hard to decide on just one. Thank you for having me on your blog. I hope everyone enjoyed this guest post. My debut novel Corrupt Me, a new adult romance about the Philadelphia Mafia, is now available.

Corrupt Me is on sale now from these retailers:

About the Author

If you like Mafia men, sports, bad boys, dirty talkers, strong female characters, and books with plenty of heat, then you’ve found the right author.

Jillian Quinn was born and raised in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and currently lives in sunny Cape Coral, Florida where she still pretends it’s okay to drink hot chocolate and curl up on the couch with a good book, even when it’s ninety degrees outside. From an early age, writing and storytelling have been her passion.

When she’s not busy creating fictional worlds and living inside the minds of her characters, Jillian is reading and blogging. But you can bet she’s doing it while watching either basketball or hockey.

    1. Thanks, Ezi! I’ll have to check out the Boston Underground books you mentioned. Sorry to hear you didn’t like Beautiful Disaster! I actually loved it… when I had assumed I wouldn’t! As far as Colleen Hoover goes… I haven’t read all of her books yet, but the ones I have read, I really enjoyed. I’m hoping to get to November 9 and Never Never Part 2 sometime in the near future. Lol!

  1. Thanks for having me on your blog, Megan! 🙂 I’m glad you also liked Beautiful Disaster. That book really hooked me on the genre. I see I forgot to add Brothers to the Maddox Brothers Series in the post. Oops! 🙈

  2. I’ve read (and loved) all of these except for Yes Boss. I actually hadn’t heard of that one until now and I’m thinking I’ll definitely have to check it out. You so need to read Smut, Megan! I can’t wait to hear your thoughts on it when you do. 🙈
